Alan Rails outfit
Alan Rails is featured here in an outfit with a dark, superhero aesthetic. He wears a navy blue conductor hat sitting atop his head, complementing the dark blue striped overalls he dons below. These items are complemented with light grey work gloves that cover his hands, and darker lace-up work boots to complete this heroic look. He wears no t-shirt, though above the overalls he wears a brown cloak, of a kind somewhat unique, and perhaps difficult to emulate; it most closely resembles a classic oilskin jacket, with a cowl to cover the shoulders, providing rain protection at the shoulder seams. Other items that might resemble the same garment would be a monk robe with a cowl, and the hood cut off, or tucked inside, though a typical trench coat of a similar color could emulate the look as well. The other defining feature of his ensemble is a glowing green necklace, of a simple, though rugged, chain link design, that hugs his neck and cascades down to the waist, emitting a sense of power or energy. Glowing paint would accomplish this quite nicely.
About Alan Rails
Alan Rails was a member of The Vindicators, a group of superheroes who protect the galaxy from super-villains. His ability to summon ghost trains came from a tragedy in which both of his parents were killed in a tragic railroad accident. He was also the ex-husband of Supernova, and despite the strain in their relationship, he was excited to learn he was going to be a father. In The Vindicators 2, it is revealed that Alan was protective of his wife and unborn child, and was hesitant to let her continue to fight super-villains out of fear for their safety. He was shown to be a caring and loving husband, even in the face of his wife's infidelity and the strain it put on their relationship. However, the events that transpired took a toll on Alan, leaving him feeling tired and disillusioned. He expressed a desire to be a better parent and to travel the universe with his child, but ultimately admitted that he was struggling to cope with everything that had happened. Despite trying to go along with his wife and team's wishes to "smile," he was burdened by the weight of the secret he was keeping about their fallen teammates.
